15th Anniversary

We’ve come a long way since we said “I Do” 15 years ago this morning. It was a short and sweet ceremony in the church where your parents were married in our home town of Chandler. We were best friends deciding to make it more and start a life together after knowing each other for most of our lives. Fresh out of college, starting new jobs, moving to a new city, and embarking on an adventure neither of us knew anything about. Thanks to our parents for providing us with great examples of long marriages, or we would have had nothing to go on!

We’ve been through a lot. We’ve endured the loss of a child. We’ve celebrated the birth of a child who has turned into an amazing character that keeps us on our toes every single day. We’ve grown personally and professionally along with one another and created a family where both of us work extremely hard both inside and outside of the home to provide the best environment possible for Ian.

We’ve traveled the world (mainly in search of great beaches!) and seen some amazing sites. We’ve experienced great events together, we’ve experienced bad events together, and deep down we’ve enjoyed all of it…together. Thank you for allowing me to accompany you through all of these adventures. Thank you for allowing me to plan new ones with you as we begin the portion of the show where we share our experiences with Ian and enable him to grow and live a full life of adventure. Thank you for relaxing at home with me and “doing nothing” so we can recharge and push forward on our journey.

We’ve built houses, built careers, and built furniture together. Strangely the projects are likely the biggest tests, but I’ll take them! We’ve been together for nearly every great memory I have over the last 15 years and more many of them from the past 30 years. I can’t imagine my life without you and am excited for what we decide to build together for the next 15 years.

I can tell you I had no idea what was in store for us on this day as 20-somethings. You worked nights, I worked days, and we were just figuring it out as we went (still are to a degree). I can’t imagine a better wife to have kicked off this life with and continued to live it as we’ve turned into 30-somethings! Thank you for being understanding in my times of stress and self-induced panic. Thank you for continuing to be my best friend all these years later.

I Love you Kami…and Happy Anniversary!
